AMD-Ritmed Inc. (formerly known as American Medical Disposables) manufactures a full line of high quality surgical dressings for the North American hospital market as well as specialty products for the world market. In existence for over 30 years, AMD-Ritmed Inc. began as the foremost manufacturer of specialty surgical dressings in the United States and has expanded its product offering through increased research and development with the help of its partner companies and offices around the world. AMD-Ritmed Inc. continues to serve its clients through custom manufacturing and private label services.

To further its R&D goals AMD-Ritmed Inc. maintains several collaborations with manufacturers including sister company, A.R. Medicom Inc., a world leader in product development for both the Medical and Dental markets.

These collaborations with outside research partners enhance the company's ability to provide an expanding pipeline of disposable medical devices to suit all surgical and medical needs.

Our second partner company is Pharmascience Inc., the 3 rd largest generic pharmaceutical company in Canada. Pharmascience is presently a leading research company in the field of specialty pharmaceutical products. The three partnered companies are all privately held and represent combined annual revenues in excess of $350,000,000.00.

All Specialty Surgical Dressings are available strung or nonstrung, either mounted on count cards or in bulk, X-Ray detectable or non-X-Ray and sterile or non-sterile. To ensure superior quality, the manufacturing and 100% inspection of each individual Specialty Surgical Sponge is conducted in our facility just outside of Montreal, Canada.

AMD-Ritmed Inc’s O.R. Towel Offering is an evident example of our innovative nature. We presently carry the full line of colors and formats currently used in the market. As well, we carry a full line of X-Ray Detectable O.R. Towels. A few years ago we were approached by a group of nurses from the AORN to develop an X-Ray Detectable O.R. Towel . We have developed and manufactured the product and today have our costs close to that of a regular OR towel. Our objective is to offer Value Added products without the hefty price tag associated.

Within the lap sponge category we of course carry the full line of products in soft packs and hard trays but we have also developed several specialized 12 ply lap sponges that are used for specialty surgeries and that are available upon the request of a surgeon or nurse and customized to their needs based on their usage requirements.

AMD-Ritmed Inc. has completed ISO 13485:2003 and Directive 93/42/EEC certification and has obtained the CE mark.

With distribution centers in Canada, the United States, Europe and Asia, AMD-Ritmed Inc. has expanded its reach in order to better serve its customers worldwide.
